Carleton Place is hosting it's annual Walk for Guide Dogs Saturday, September 13th. It will start at the Carleton Place Mews Shopping Center at 1:00PM. The Canberra Cavalry have won their first Asia Series crown!  The Cavs beat the Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball League 14-4, to be the first team from Australia to win the Asia Series. This was the first time a team from outside of Japan, Korea or Taiwan had made the finals. Canberra was backed by a strong tournament from Jack Murphy, who won the MVP honours, and Jon Berti who was solid with both the glove and the bat.
