Italian Baseball League

Sam Bat is now partnered with the Italian Baseball League! The IBL is a professional league in Italy that promotes the sport throughout the country. The league was founded in 1948 and has crowned a champion every year since. There are currently 10 teams in the league, each playing a 36 game regular season. The sport is growing in Italy, as shown by their success at the World Baseball Classic in 2013, and they have the IBL to thank. To ensure that the local players are getting the training and experience they need to advance as players, and the sports itself across Italy, there is a league wide rule that states there needs to be at least 6 Italian grown players on the field at all times.

We are also pleased to announce we are the official bat of T&A San Marino, who just won their 3rd championship in a row! This is the first time since 1968 that a team has won “the Scudetto” three years in a row. This season San Marino had 13 more home runs than the second highest team, and had the top three overall home run hitters. All with Sam Bats!
