Sam Bat now member of IBAF Manufacturers list

Sam Bat is pleased to announce we are an official member of the IBAF Wood Bat Manufacturers list. The IBAF is the governing body for all international baseball events including the World Baseball Classic and the IBAF Baseball World Cups.

This is Sam Bat’s 3rd year as a member of the manufacturers list, but have been selling internationally since 1997. We are proud to have our bats used around the world, including in the Italian League and the Australian Baseball League.

Canberra Cavalry Win Asia Series!

The Canberra Cavalry have won their first Asia Series crown!  The Cavs beat the Samsung Lions of the Korean Baseball League 14-4, to be the first team from Australia to win the Asia Series. This was the first time a team from outside of Japan, Korea or Taiwan had made the finals. Canberra was backed by a strong tournament from Jack Murphy, who won the MVP honours, and Jon Berti who was solid with both the glove and the bat.

Sam Bat Named The Official Bat Of The ABF

The Australian Baseball Federation (ABF) is pleased to announce it has secured a partnership deal with Sam Bat to be the Official Bat of the ABF.

Sam Bat’s distinctive bat logo, already familiar to Australian Baseball League (ABL), will now be seen on bats of the Australian national teams and at ABF events around the country.

Brett Pickett, Chief Executive Officer of the ABF, said; “We are very pleased with Sam Bat’s extension of their sponsorship of baseball in Australia.  Sam Bat is well known as a high quality baseball bat that will encourage excellence as our teams compete at the national and international level.  This is an exciting time for baseball as we progress with the ABL and joint national partnerships; and Sam Bat is a natural partner for the whole of our sport.”

Arlene Anderson, President of Sam Bat, said, “Sam Bat has supplied bats to many of the greatest hitters in the world and been a part of several records set in professional baseball.  This is Sam Bat’s third year as the official supplier of bats to the ABL and we are thrilled and proud to now be the official bat of the ABF.  We look forward to working with the ABF to help promote baseball in Australia and sponsor key events.”

Sam Bat will work with the ABF to bring related promotional products to baseball fans around the country.

 

The Australian Baseball Federation is the governing body for all levels of baseball throughout Australia.  Primarily responsible for the development of the sport; as well as national high performance; the ABF works with seven (7) State and Territory associations and 600+ clubs across the country.  The ABF also acts as the international liaison and representation of Australian Baseball at all International forums.

 

 

Ryan Braun Ends Season with Most NL Home Runs

Ryan Braun continued to set his own records with a Sam Bat during the 2012 season by putting up a personal best and NL leading 41 home runs.

Braun also led the NL in runs scored with 108, OPS with 987, was second in runs batted in with 112, second in hits with 191 and had the third highest batting average with .319.

Hundreds of Home Runs!

On Sunday, September 16th,Ryan Braun hit two home runs including his 200th career home run and bringing his total for the season to date to 40.

Braun joins Miguel Cabrera who hit his 300th home run on July 22nd, Travis Hafner who hit his 200th on August 5th, and Justin Upton who hit his 100th on August 3rd in reaching significant home run milestones in the 2012 season.  Awesome!
